Suilvision supply Five High Definition ANPR systems to Lithuania
Suilvision have supplied five high definition Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems to Lithuania. The cameras are located at strategic points on dual lane roads with the processors being housed in a central location. The cameras supplied are the Suilvision S5 units capable of reading up to 10 metres wide in Lithuania. The restricting factor for how wide we can read across the scene is the width of the character on the licence plate. The character width in the UK is 15 mm, however the character width in Lithuania is narrower at approximately  10 mm, this reduces the scene width view we can achieve.

The flexible Monitor software adapts to the Lithuanian plates, automatically tracks the plates and learns the direction of the traffic. There are many types of plates in Lithuania as well as their own which emanate from neighbouring countries.
