Barrier Entry applications can be one of the most challenging uses of ANPR systems as 100% accuracy is required. Cameras are positioned at site entrances and barriers, LED signs or traffic lights are often employed. The systems are often required to read all plates of approaching vehicles and permit access to employees or guide them to specific lanes for fast track entry. The Suilvision Personnel databases can be easily set up importing data from Excel or CSV files and are regularly synchronised. The system holds details of the vehicle type, owner, staff number, vehicle registration as well as staff photos for identification etc. Exact entry and exit records are kept of all vehicle movements for later analysis which includes stay times. Staff Hot lists can alert security to dismissed staff or known troublemakers or simply warn of important deliveries. Alarms can be visual or audible. SMS messages or automatic emails can be sent to selected staff warning of important visitors or indeed intruders.

Suilvision provide seamless ANPR Access Control linking directly into the customers existing or proposed Door Access Control System. The ANPR control unit (HD Pro/HD Lite or Standard Witness) outputs a Weigand protocol directly to the Access Control Door Controller which sees the Number Plate as just another door on the system. Once the Number Plate is recognised in the database the barrier will raise allowing entry and logging the person on site. This has the great advantage of being to use the Access Control database to manage the system.
